High Dividend Yield Stocks I

Two oil and gas trusts have over 10% dividend yields:

  • CNE: “Canetic Resources Trust is a Canadian oil and gas royalty trust. The Company was formed through the merger of Acclaim Energy Trust and StarPoint Energy Trust. Acclaim Energy Trust is an open-ended Canadian income trust engaged in the development and acquisition of oil and natural gas reserves in western Canada.   • HTE: “Harvest Energy Trust is a Canadian conventional oil and natural gas royalty trust. The Company completed a strategic merger with Viking Energy Royalty Trust in February, 2006. It strives to maintain or increase cash flow per unit through its strategy of acquiring, enhancing and producing crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. ” CURRENT ANNUAL YIELD: 10%

CBS Increases Dividends…Again

Sitting on a load of cash from selling many of its assets, CBS increased its dividend again:

Media company CBS Corp. said Monday its board approved an 11 percent dividend increase, marking it the third boost since the stock’s debut in January.

CBS, which operates its namesake broadcast television network and radio stations, said it will pay a quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share — up from 18 cents — on Oct. 1 to shareholders of record on Aug. 31.

The S&P Pan Asia 50 High Dividend Index is designed to measure the performance of 50 Pan-Asian stocks that have high dividend yields. Only high dividend paying stocks from Japan, Australia, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore are eligible for membership.
